My favourite singer is Pink. Pink's real name is Alicia Moore. Her birthday is on September the 8^th, 1979. She grew up in Philadelphia, USA with her parents, her brother and her stepsister. Very early she began to write her own songs and most of them were about growing up in Philadelphia. As a teenager, Pink sang in a rap group as a background singer, worked as a dancer and then she was in a girls’ group, too. But she didn't like this group and so she started her own career as a solo singer.

My favourite song by Pink is called: 'What about us?'.I think the lyrics are more important than rhythm and melody in her songs. I also think that Pink hasn't got the best voice, but I like her lyrics a lot. You can really see yourself in her songs and I think just when you’re down or you are in a bad mood, you can sit down and listen to one of her songs and you’ll feel better. Of course, not all of her lyrics are the best, but when you listen to the right song in the right situation, it can help a lot. Finally, I should say that I like her so much because of her pink hair!
