A Film Review

The Theory of Everything
Biographical drama, 2014

The Theory of Everything is about the scientist Stephen Hawking. The film is based on a book, “Travelling to Infinity: My life with Stephen Hawking” by his wife, Jane Wilde Hawking. The film is set in England and starts is the early 1960s. It tells the story of Hawking’s relationship with Jane, the diagnosis of his motor neuron disease and his success as a physicist.

I love the acting in this film. Eddie Redmayne stars as Hawking and Felicity Jones plays the role of Jane. My favourite character is Stephen Hawking because he is clever and brave.

I think this is an ideal film for people who like true stories. It is a bit sad at times but the story is very interesting and there is a lot of action. I give The Theory of Everything ★★★★. Go and watch it soon!

A Book Review on Harry Potter, by J.K. Rowling

One of my favourite books is the Harry Potter series. The seven series novel was written by J.K. Rowling and it is a fantasy novel of love and friendship, suitable for all ages. The book is about an orphan who lived with his aunt and uncle after his parents died when he was young. Everything changes for Harry when he joins Hogwarts school of Witchcraft, and he discovers that he is really a wizard.
I have read all series from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as well as Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Once I start reading this series, I usually get stuck because the series is full of mystery and you can never really tell what’s going to happen.
What I love about this seven series novel is that the author does not only describe one boy, Harry, but she makes the whole book alive by describing different characters like the Hogwarts students and teachers. The story also presents magical backgrounds, making it more interesting and adventurous. What’s more, Harry Potter is an inspiration to many young children because it encourages them to believe in themselves. The author shows the importance of friendship and love when Harry beats his enemy Volan-de –Mort thanks to them.
Harry Potter series is a great novel that anyone can read over and over again. It is actually one of the most fascinating stories I have ever read. I would recommend the book to anyone who loves adventure series because all the scenes are exciting. You won’t be disappointed because each series is great. If you have not read any of Harry Potter series, you are missing out one of the best series ever written.

Are you a fan of the Harry Potter series? Which one is your favourite?

Read about Pink and then write about your favourite singer and song.

My favourite singer is Pink. Pink's real name is Alicia Moore. Her birthday is on September the 8th, 1979. She grew up in Philadelphia, USA with her parents, her brother and her stepsister. Very early she began to write her own songs and most of them were about growing up in Philadelphia. As a teenager, Pink sang in a rap group as a background singer, worked as a dancer and then she was in a girls’ group, too. But she didn't like this group and so she started her own career as a solo singer.
My favourite song by Pink is called: 'What about us?'.I think the lyrics are more important than rhythm and melody in her songs. I also think that Pink hasn't got the best voice, but I like her lyrics a lot. You can really see yourself in her songs and I think just when you’re down or you are in a bad mood, you can sit down and listen to one of her songs and you’ll feel better. Of course, not all of her lyrics are the best, but when you listen to the right song in the right situation, it can help a lot. Finally, I should say that I like her so much because of her pink hair!
